Genome-Wide Association Studies of Somatic Cell Count in the Assaf Breed

چکیده
A genome-wide association study (GWAS) was performed to identify new single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) and genes associated with mastitis resistance in Assaf sheep by using the Illumina Ovine Infinium® HD SNP BeadChip (680K). In total, 6173 records from 1894 multiparous ewes at least three test day aged between 2 7 years old were used estimate a corrected phenotype for somatic cell score (SCS). Then, 192 selected top (n = 96) bottom tails of SCS distribution be GWAS. Although no significant SNPs found genome level, four (rs419096188, rs415580501, rs410336647, rs424642424) chromosome level (FDR 10%) two different regions OAR19. The rs419096188 located intron 1 NUP210 close HDAC11 (61 kb apart), while other totally linked 171 apart ARPP21 gene. These related immune system response. results validated (rs419096188 total population 1894) Kompetitive Allele-Specific PCR (KASP) genotyping. Furthermore, also lactose content.

Progress in probabilistic generative models has accelerated, developing richer models with neural architectures, implicit densities, and with scalable algorithms for their Bayesian inference. However, there has been limited progress in models that capture causal relationships, for example, how individual genetic factors cause major human diseases. In this work, we focus on two challenges in par...

Genome-wide association (GWA) studies are best understood as an extension of candidate gene association studies, scaled up to cover hundreds of thousands of markers across the genome in samples usually of several thousand cases and controls. The GWA approach allows the detection of much smaller effect sizes than with previous linkage-based genome-wide studies. However, this sensitivity makes th...

A host of data on genetic variation from the Human Genome and International HapMap projects, and advances in high-throughput genotyping technologies, have made genome-wide association (GWA) studies technically feasible. GWA studies help in the discovery and quantification of the genetic components of disease risks, many of which have not been unveiled before, and have opened a new avenue to und...

Genome-wide association (GWA) studies are a powerful tool for understanding the genetic underpinnings of human disease. In this article, we briefly review the role and findings of GWA studies in type 1 diabetes, stature, pubertal timing, obesity, and vitamin D deficiency. We then discuss the present and future implications of these findings with regards to disease prediction, uncovering basic b...
